Aesthetic dentistry
Aesthetic dentistry encompasses a wide spectrum of dental procedures… whether it’s the relatively simple composite filling therapy or the extensive ceramic restoration. The primary goal is typically to preserve as much healthy tooth structure as possible, in order to avoid unnecessarily weakening the stability of the natural tooth. Generally speaking, it’s not possible to generalize about the various treatment options. It’s necessary to determine in each individual case what is best for you and your teeth, and this, in turn, depends on an accurate diagnosis and thorough consultation. It’s important to explore all treatment possibilities and then make a joint decision with you about which treatment path to pursue. We would be happy to inform you about the different treatment options in a comprehensive consultation session:
- Composite fillings (white fillings)
- Ceramic inlays/onlays/overlays
- All-ceramic crowns and bridges
- Veneers (ultra-thin ceramic veneers/ceramic shells)
Our unique advantage is that we produce all ceramic work in-house by our resident master technician, Tino, allowing us to cater precisely to all your needs and preferences.
Bleaching | Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening, or bleaching, is the process of lightening teeth. Who doesn’t appreciate a well-maintained, bright smile?! However, it’s crucial that this procedure is entrusted to professionals. Before starting a teeth whitening treatment, it’s essential to undergo a professional oral hygiene session first. Only once all superficial stains on the teeth have been removed does teeth bleaching make sense.
By applying a precisely dosed bleaching gel to the tooth surface and using a special bleaching lamp, we can gently remove color pigments from the enamel that cause discoloration, thus achieving sustainable tooth whitening. The impressive result is visible in a short amount of time. It’s important to note, however, that tooth whitening happens gradually in small steps to achieve the desired outcome. Our staff will assist you in determining the final tooth shade because at the end of the treatment, you should radiate with a natural smile.
To maintain your newly acquired tooth color for as long as possible, we recommend having professional oral hygiene sessions performed at least twice a year. This helps prevent new discoloration and often guarantees a bright smile for years.
Our specially trained staff for teeth whitening will gladly advise you on the exact procedure of bleaching and what to pay particular attention to.
Endodontics | Root Canal Treatment
Endodontics encompasses the field of root canal treatments. When carious defects penetrate deeply, affecting the pulp (the tooth nerve and blood vessels), it is often necessary to perform a procedure known as root canal treatment. By removing the infected tissue from inside the tooth, disinfecting the resulting cavity, and placing an anti-inflammatory lining, we can preserve the tooth. Thanks to state-of-the-art treatment options, we rescue many teeth that were once considered lost, sparing you the burdensome path of toothlessness. Subsequently restoring this loss can be a complex and laborious process. It is our duty and responsibility to detect and eliminate carious defects early, preventing them from progressing to such an extent!
Implantology | Artificial tooth root
Thanks to dental implants, we are able to replace missing teeth. Whether it’s single tooth gaps or larger gaps, through the completely painless placement of artificial tooth roots (implants) into the jawbone, we can restore your radiant smile and your well-deserved quality of life. Often, it’s just a minor procedure that gives you back your smile and regained biting force.
Lost teeth should be replaced as soon as possible because our dentition is a highly complex system. When one or more teeth are missing, it often triggers a chain reaction. The neighboring teeth lose contact with each other and begin to shift into the vacant space. As teeth wander or tilt, our chewing system becomes more and more imbalanced. Misuse and overloading of the remaining teeth and muscular problems of our chewing apparatus ensue. Reversing this process is usually a very tedious journey. The sooner we recognize this problem and provide a solution, the faster our dentition achieves a stable situation and thus the highest quality of life. We will determine together in our consultation which therapy, which treatment plan is best for you. Whatever treatment path you choose, we will support you continuously and be available to you at all times.
Prophylaxis | Oral Hygiene
Oral health relies on daily, at-home dental care and regular check-ups and cleaning instructions provided by our competent staff. Generally, we recommend having a professional oral hygiene session performed every six months. Through regular prophylaxis, we can identify potential problems early and nip them in the bud. We believe that investing in prevention is far more sensible than having to extinguish unnecessary fires with a fire extinguisher. It is our duty and responsibility to help you prevent any ‘fires’ from occurring in the first place.
With the empathetic approach of our prophylaxis assistants, we are able to inspire even fearful patients to embrace oral hygiene.
